We're looking for a dedicated Shore Excursion Manager to join our team and deliver exceptional experiences on our luxury river cruises. JOB DESCRIPTION

- Oversee the daily dispatching of tours and control all associated costs.

- Recommend, manage, and sell experiences to guests to enhance their shoreside excursions.

- Communicate regularly with shoreside tour operators to coordinate numerous tours and private arrangements.

- Escort and participate in tours to ensure they meet the standards of both guests and Riverside.

- Check all documentation sent to guests or displayed in public.

- Work closely with all heads of departments (HODs) to inform onboard teams of guest tour schedules.

- Promptly finish and send out reports, settle the day, and prepare appropriate invoices.

- Maintain inventory of items such as signs and Quiet Vox, and communicate well in advance if such items need to be ordered.

- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, manuals, and directives.

- Facilitate payment of tip money for guides and drivers.

- Accurately charge and cancel shore excursion tickets and private arrangements.

- Ensure company property is maintained properly and treated with respect.


Job requirements

REQUIREMENTS

- College degree/diploma or hotel/tourism school beneficial.

- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position ashore or onboard a luxury cruise ship.

- Fluent in written and spoken English; communicative German language skills required.

- Fluency in French and Spanish beneficial.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.

- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and various company computer systems.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent leadership skills and ability to interact with all levels of people.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure.

- Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor while remaining firm.
