JOB DESCRIPTION

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a warm and memorable welcome.

• Provide clear, detailed information on daily programs, shore excursions, shipboard services, and general guest inquiries.

• Recommend and sell shore side activities, enhancing guest experiences and maximizing time ashore.

• Support the coordination and smooth operation of shore excursions alongside the Guest Experience Manager.

• Escort and participate in tours to ensure they align with company standards and guest expectations.

• Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring satisfaction and resolution.

• Prepare and organize materials such as tour packages, manifests, and welcome/farewell documents for guests.

• Assist with gangway duties, disembarkation, and other operational support during guest transitions.

• Process payments for shore excursions and other guest transactions, ensuring accuracy in guest accounts.

• Assist in maintaining inventory and presentation of guest-facing materials.

• Collaborate with the Purser, SPA team, and other departments to deliver a cohesive and seamless experience.

• Participate in guest and crew safety drills, assist during emergency situations, and follow all safety protocols onboard.

• Attend regular team meetings and briefings to stay aligned with onboard procedures and guest service goals.

• Ensure company property is respected and maintained to the highest standard.

• Uphold all company policies, procedures, and service expectations at all times.


Job requirements

REQUIREMENTS


• College degree/diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of two years of experience in a luxury hotel front office or guest services position; at least one year onboard a luxury cruise ship or in a related role.

• Fluent in written and spoken English;

• Additional languages such as German, French or  Spanish are considered a strong asset.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public-facing skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and company-specific computer systems.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask under pressure.

• Friendly, outgoing, and confident personality with a strong focus on service excellence.

• Ability to remain composed and professional during high-volume periods and challenging situations.

• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and assisting with luggage or operational duties as needed.

• Willingness to be flexible and take on additional tasks as assigned by onboard leadership.
